We are pleased to announce the release of the European Environment Agency's (EEA) report, "Enhancing Europe’s Land Carbon Sink", with contributions from our colleagues here at space4environment. Published on June 30, 2025, the report analyses the land use, land use change, and forestry (LULUCF) sector, crucial for EU climate goals and also a relatively new sector in EU climate governance.

Key insights include strategies for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, policy recommendations for achieving climate targets, and the importance of sustainable practices. The report also discusses the co-benefits of enhancing land carbon sinks, such as biodiversity conservation and improved ecosystem services.
