Invasive alien species present a growing threat to biodiversity, and we are at the forefront of finding solutions.
We are excited to share that we've been awarded a contract by the European Environment Agency to support the Invasive Alien Species reporting process. This contract underscores our commitment to environmental stewardship and aligns perfectly with our ongoing efforts in biodiversity conservation.
Our tasks include developing datasets, updating reporting tools, and generating EU-wide data to support the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030. We have been selected for this important work due to our extensive knowledge of reporting procedures, thematic background, and understanding of the needs of European policy and the analyses required.
This contract aligns seamlessly with our ongoing work within the FAIRiCUBE project, where we assist cities like Luxembourg in modelling the probability of occurrence of certain invasive plant species. Our tool is designed to support local governments and environmental organizations by providing data-driven insights into the potential spread of these species.
